Cranford Custom Tailors is a small family business run by tailor Nelson Zavala, with 30 years of experience in alterations for men and women. The goal has always been the same: satisfy every customer who walks through the door.
That means fast, careful work, honest advice, and no appointments. Just bring your clothes in and we'll take care of them.

What are you bringing in? Pick everything that applies.
Do I need an appointment?
No. Walk in any time during business hours. Bring the garment, plus the shoes you'll wear with it if it needs hemming, and we'll fit it on you.
How long do alterations take?
It depends on the job and how busy we are. We'll give you a pickup date when you drop off. If you have an event coming up, tell us the date. We've turned a prom dress hem around the same day.
Do you work on women's clothing too?
Yes. We alter clothing for men and women: suits, pants, dresses, bridesmaid and prom gowns, coats and more.
How much will it cost?
Every garment is different, so we give you a price in person once we've seen it on you. Call ahead if you'd like a rough idea.
Can you fix something another tailor got wrong?
Often, yes. Bring it in and we'll look at what can be done. One customer brought us a bridesmaid dress that another shop had gotten wrong, right before a wedding. She was complimented on it all night.
